Breaking Barriers Mountain Biking Skills Clinic – September 12th and 13th

We’re proud to host a series of free MTB skills clinics at Stafford Lake Bike Park on Saturday September 12th, and Sunday September 13th. These clinics are designed to be inclusive, welcoming, and to advance representation in the mountain biking community. This inclusive event will feature multiple skills sessions by professional coaches and community mentors tailored to different rider needs.

Saturday 9:00 AM – 12 PM Morning MTB Skills Clinics:

Saturday 12:00 PM – 3 PM Afternoon MTB Skills Clinics:

Sunday 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM Morning MTB Skills Clinics:

  • All Levels Jump

Sunday 12:30 PM - 3 PM BBQ

  • All are welcome to join us for a free BBQ after the end of the clinics with food and refreshments provided by MTS.


All clinics start promptly. Only register if you intend to participate and leave spots available for others. Participants are encouraged to take different clinics on different days to progress skills. All participants must be registered and sign a waiver.

Participants must be 12 years old or older and have a bike in good working condition and a properly fitting helmet. Bikes with coaster brakes are not allowed. If you need a bike, email us at info@marintrailstewards.org in advance and we will get you set up!

Bring water and snacks. Knee and elbow pads are recommended.

English-Spanish translators will be on site and participating.

Whether you're new to the sport or looking to level up, this is a welcoming space to learn, build confidence, and connect with others. Help us spread the word and let’s make mountain biking more inclusive in Marin!
