Our mission is specific to singletrack - and we have the calluses to prove it.

Become a Steward

Trail stewardship is at the heart of Marin Trail Stewards’ mission—and volunteering is one of the most direct ways to make a lasting impact. As a trail steward, you’ll help maintain singletrack, improve drainage, clear brush, and support sustainable access for all trail users. No experience is needed—just a willingness to learn, work alongside others, and care for the trails we share. To get started, check out our upcoming Trail Work Days and sign up through our event calendar. Every shovel swing and rake pull helps keep Marin’s trails thriving.

Be the Change

As of 2025, we have over 3,500 community members and Marin Trail Stewards remains an almost entirely volunteer-powered organization. We have established a consistent, positive voice with Marin's elected officials, land managers and landowners, but there is always much more work to do. With more members, volunteers, and a few key paid support staff sharing the load, MTS is better positioned than ever to speed the opening of new singletrack trails in Marin, rehabilitate existing trails, and help elect local officials that believe in fair and reasonable access to our public trails.

Join the MTS Community

All it takes is passion, and your name and email, to join our free mailing list and stay in the loop on monthly events, trail work days, land manager meetings, group rides, and more. Want to go deeper? Become a member to support year-round trail and advocacy work. You’ll get early race registration, exclusive invites, and perks from local sponsors, all while helping fund the behind-the-scenes work that leads to more bike-legal singletrack in Marin. If you’re ready to get even more involved, we’re always looking for positive, engaged riders to help with advocacy, events, and special projects. Reach out anytime at info@marintrailstewards.org.

Thanks for riding with us!
