Volunteer with MTS
MTS is volunteer-led organization, and we couldn’t do our work without you! We are always needing volunteers to help maintain/build mountain bike trails and help out at our events. Marin Trail Stewards members can volunteer to lead group rides, and get member-only access to exclusive events. Join us!
Land management is about choices.
Choices on how to balance the needs of the natural environment with the various desires and goals of user groups, choices on how to spend funds to maintain or improve the features and access to the land itself. As with any public holding or service, Marin’s land managers should make choices representative of their constituents

As of 2025, we have over 3,500 members and Marin Trail Stewards is fully volunteer-powered
We have established a consistent, positive voice with Marin's elected officials and land managers, but there is much more work to do and the pace is still slow. With more members sharing the load, MTS will be better positioned to speed the opening of new singletrack trails in Marin, rehabilitate existing trails and help elect local officials that believe in fair and reasonable access to our public trails.
