Downhill MTB Race ♦ Marin County, CA

**Solstice on Solstice is Marin County’s first ever professionally timed and produced downhill mountain bike race.**

Advanced riders only! Expect black diamond conditions — roots, rocks, tree hazards, drops, and generally challenging trail conditions over a 1.3 mile race course. Race it twice and take only your best time! Full face helmet required. All racers must be 18 or older. No refunds for no shows, DNF, or mis-judgement of your own ability.

Race information

Racers will get to race the course twice and we will count the best time!

Enjoy a brand new, uphill-optimized climb through the trees to the top — Hello Truck Trail! — and avoid the notoriously steep and exposed fire roads of the past.

After the race

The Podium Ceremony will directly follow the race, 2 pm, at the San Domenico Gymnasium. Follow the signs from the end of the race course! Enjoy tacos and celebrate our amazing riders. NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON CAMPUS.

After Party: Pedal on over to our Title Sponsor, Solstice Bike Works — 600 Manuel T Freitas Pkwy San Rafael — and show your race plate for a free beer.

Entry fee

Your entry fee includes a professional timed race, up to two opportunities to race the course, a commemorative t-shirt, a taco lunch, and a podium ceremony.

Spectators

Spectators are encouraged to line the course and heckle the racers down the hill. Hike in from the bottom or the top! Sorry, no bikes allowed on Solstice trail during the race if you are not actively racing.
